About Matt Elston
Hello! I’m Matt Elston, a Utah-based wildlife photographer with a deep love for the outdoors and the incredible creatures that call it home. While I’ve always been drawn to photography, my passion for wildlife photography truly began after moving to Utah and encountering my first moose in the wild. That unforgettable moment opened my eyes to the beauty, resilience, and untold stories of the animals that roam our landscapes.
Since then, my camera has been my constant companion as I explore the rugged backcountry, vast meadows, and quiet forests. Through my lens, I aim to capture more than just a photograph—I strive to preserve the raw spirit of the wild, telling the unique stories of the animals and the environments they inhabit.
Every image is the result of patience, persistence, and an endless curiosity for the natural world. Whether I’m watching a bald eagle take flight, waiting for a fox to emerge from its den, or following the graceful movements of a moose through the snow, my goal is to bring these moments to life and inspire a deeper connection to the wilderness.
I hope my work inspires others to appreciate and protect the natural world for generations to come. Explore my portfolio to experience the beauty of wildlife, one photograph at a time.
